Theatre Camp is a positive, skill-enhancing and relationship-building experience. We look forward to meeting and working with every camper. But we need your help as the parent/guardian to make sure your camper is here every day.
Every actor is essential. Because of this interdependent relationship,
your camper's attendance is mandatory each day. Sickness and family emergencies (unforeseen traumatic events) are the only exceptions to this rule. Transportation issues and family calendar conflicts are not excused absences, so please plan ahead so that the camper can be at camp on time, every day.
Your signature on the bottom of this contract tells us:
1. You understand the rules of attendance and you will (with the exception of emergencies) get your camper to camp every day, including dress rehearsal on Thursday, July 30 (full day-8:30 am-4:00 pm) AND the showcase recital on Saturday, August 1 (12:00 pm-4:00 pm for grades 4-6 and 4:00 pm-8:00 pm for grades 7-12).
2. You will call (503) 375-7114 and leave a message if an emergency arises and your camper will be unable to attend. You realize if your camper misses for reasons other than emergencies, or if the emergency extends over more than one day, we will probably need to replace his/her role.
3. You will have your child go directly into the Psalm Center upon drop off, and they will stay there until taken to their classroom by a leader.
4. You understand that Theatre Camp is a collaborative, supportive and respectful environment. Campers are expected to participate fully in all the camp activities, to cooperate with their teachers' instructions, and to treat both campers and teachers with respect. Continued disruptive or harmful behavior, including bullying or verbal or physical aggression, may result in removal from camp at the discretion of the camp director. If a removal becomes necessary, no camp fees will be refunded.
Agreeing to and following these guidelines will help ensure that all the participants in camp succeed. The camp staff will deal with any challenges to the best of their ability, but to do this successfully, we need the partnership of the parents and the campers to truly flourish.
